What do I do if I have been in a collision?
Document the incident
(if another party is involved)
Contact the police, and obtain a copy of the police report. Take photos of the incident and take down names.
Notify your insurer and start the claims process
Once you have obtained a copy of the police report you can start the claim. Your insurer will tell you exactly what you will need to do in order to process your claim and what to expect during the claims process.
Contact the body shop of your choice
Your insurance company may recommend shops, but at the end of the day you have the right to choose your repair facility.
